Key Ingredients

  • Biotin and Chromium: these essential nutrients, known as “glucose tolerating factors”, play a crucial role in glucose utilization. Biotin has been shown to reduce triglycerides, often elevated in Type 2 diabetes.  Both chromium and biotin help reduce insulin resistance.  Individuals with diabetes tend to lose chromium through urine, making supplementation important.

     Barberry (containing berberine): studies showed significant reductions in insulin levels in patients with Type 2 diabetes. High doses of 500 mg 2-3 times a day have shown effectiveness comparable to some medications in controlling blood sugar levels and lipid metabolism.

     Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Chinese medicine Jiaogulan): This herb has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity, reduce fasting glucose levels, and lower Hemoglobin A1c levels without causing hypoglycemia or negative kidney or liver effects. It also enhances AMPK and immune activity.

     Hesperidin: Derived from citrus fruits, hesperidin has been shown to inhibit damage to pancreatic islet cells, and shown to reduce blood glucose and alter glycogen content in diabetic tissue to improve glycolytic and gluconeogenetic enzymes. Hesperidin has also been shown to support AMPK activity.

     Amla: Research involving both healthy and diabetic individuals has shown that amla can decrease fasting and post-prandial (after meal) blood glucose levels after three weeks of use. Additionally, it has demonstrated a decrease in total lipids and LDL cholesterol levels while increasing HDL cholesterol levels.

     Green Coffee Bean: Chlorogenic acid, one of the active components of Green Coffee Bean, has been shown to reduce fasting glucose levels and decrease insulin resistance.

    Fenugreek Seed: Fenugreek seed extract helps lower blood sugar by slowing down digestion and absorption of carbohydrates.

     Cinnamon Bark: Cinnamon has been associated with a decrease in levels of fasting glucose, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and an increase in HDL cholesterol levels.

     Benfotiamine: As a form of Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), benfotiamine helps block the biochemical pathways responsible for the damage caused by elevated blood glucose levels. This protection extends to nerves, kidneys, eyes, blood vessels, and heart.

     Acetyl-L-Carnitine: This amino acid aids in decreasing fasting glucose levels, Hemoglobin A1c levels, and triglycerides. It also contributes to reducing fatigue and insomnia while improving mental activity.

    Alpha Lipoic Acid: With potent antioxidant properties, alpha lipoic acid has been shown to improve insulin resistance and help prevent peripheral neuropathy and diabetic retinopathy.

  • Creatine: Creatine is one of the most studied supplements. Creatine has been shown to improve fasting and post-prandial glucose levels, aid in muscle growth and recovery, support cognitive function, and increase cellular hydration.

     N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC): NAC has shown the potential to improve insulin resistance, lipid levels and fasting blood sugar. It has also demonstrated some efficacy in lowering diabetes-related complications.

    Pancreas Glandular: whole bovine pancreatic tissue, based on a “like cures like” theory.  Cells are attracted to and nourish “like cells,” ingesting nutrients that can provide their body with the specific combination of amino acids and other building blocks to rebuild functional pancreatic cells.

     White Mulberry Leaf: White Mulberry Leaf has a long history in Chinese medicine for treating diabetes. Studies have demonstrated its ability to reduce fasting and post-prandial (after meal) blood glucose levels, as well as Hemoglobin A1c levels. Additionally, it aides in reducing serum lipids and indicators of lipid peroxidation.

     Maqui Berry: contains polyphenol compounds called delphinidins, which stimulate a peptide that lowers post-prandial spikes in glucose and insulin.  Another study showed reduction in Hemoglobin A1c after 60-90 days of use.

     Clove: Clove exhibits properties that effectively lower fasting and post-prandial glucose levels. Rich in polyphenols, cloves offer additional benefits in reducing risk of cardiovascular diseases. Clove enhances glucose uptake into muscle cells, providing them with metabolic fuel while removing sugar from the bloodstream.

    Biozyme Pancreatin (pancreatic enzymes): Pancreatin consists of pancreatic enzymes that are necessary to digest carbohydrates found in starchy and sugary foods.

    CoQ10 (ubiquinone): CoQ10 has been shown to be effective in reducing blood sugar and improving insulin secretion, and supports heart and muscle health.

     Red Bayberry Bark: Red Bayberry Bark and its active component, Myricetin, have been found to exert a protective effect on pancreatic beta cells, reduce blood glucose levels and improve glucose tolerance.

     Banaba leaf: used for many years in traditional herbal medicine for diabetes, studies show a decrease in glucose and lipid levels.

     Rose Hips: studies show decreased blood sugar levels, fasting insulin levels, and decreased fat cell growth in the liver.  Trans-tiliroside from Rose Hips also boosts AMPK activity. It has been shown to reduce systolic blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

     Black Pepper (Piperine): Black pepper, containing piperine, is used as a bio-enhancing agent in combination with other glucose lowering agents to enhance their effectiveness.

     Vanadium: mimics the effects of insulin on target tissues, thus improving insulin sensitivity in both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.  It also demonstrates some ability to lower cholesterol levels.
